Summary of Incident:
At 21:48 hours, St. Johnsbury Police responded to the area of 170 Pearl Street for a report of a shooting. At this time, the scene has been secured and Pearl Street has been closed between Railroad St and Federal Street. This is an active investigation. The scene has been turned over to the Vermont State Police and any inquiries into this incident should be directed to them.

On 07/27/2019 at approximately 2200 hours, St, Johnsbury Police responded to 287 Portland Street, the House of Pizza for a report of a single vehicle crash into a tree in the parking lot of the business. After investigation Ryan D. Simpson was taken into custody for the leaving the scene of an accident and suspicion of driving under the influence.

An investigation revealed that <EXPUNGED> punched a woman in the face, causing injury. <EXPUNGED> was arrested, processed and cited into Caledonia Superior Court, Criminal Division on September 30, 2019 for the above violation and subsequently lodged at the Northeastern Regional Correctional Facility as an Incapacitated Person.

As part of an ongoing investigation, the St. Johnsbury Police Department cited Kasea L. Hill for False Pretenses or Tokens (over $900). Investigation revealed Hill presented a check to a local bank that was written for $4600 on the account of a deceased woman. Hill  was  cited into Caledonia Superior Court, Criminal Division for initial appearance on September 30, 2019 for the above charge.

Subsequent investigation revealed the operator of that motor vehicle, Ms. Cherie M. Salls, was in violation of 3 conditions of release and found to possess a plastic pipe-like device containing a white powdery substance Salls admitted was suboxone. Salls was arrested, processed and cited into Caledonia Superior Court, Criminal Division on September 30, 2019 for the above violations.
