SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  ON September 11, 2023, officers responded to a report of a shoplifter at White Market, located at 385 Portland Street in St. Johnsbury.  While investigating this incident, Michelle Deaette , 31 of Burlington was located in the store accompanying the shoplifter.  Deaette was issued a citation for October 30, 2023 in Caledonia Superior Court for unlawful Trespass as she had been issued a notice of no trespass on July 7, 2022 for that establishment.

After investigation he was taken into custody on suspicion of operating under the influence of alcohol. He was cited to appear in Caledonia Court on 09/25/2023 to answer to the charge of DUI 3. He was also issued Vermont Civil Violation Complaints for speeding and operating after suspension.

Demers was located and cited to appear on October 16, 2023 to answer the charge.
