SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
A St. Johnsbury Police Department officer was assisting Ofc. Guyer in an arrest by collecting witness information for the case file. One of the witnesses identified herself as Valerie Gilmore (31). However, further investigation revealed the imposter was actually Tyler L. Ehmann (31). Ehmann was impersonating her cousin in an attempt to hide the fact she was out and about in violation of her curfew. Ehmann was arrested, brought to the police department and eventually released on citation. Ehmann was cited into Caledonia Superior Court to answer the charges of Identity Theft, Violation of Conditions of Release & False Reports to Law Enforcement. Ehmann’s court date will be January 11, 2021 @ 1000 hours. Ehmann was also directed to report to St. Johnsbury Probation & Parole on November 23, 2020 at 0900 hours.
