SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 07/22/22023 Officer Jasmine Hendry, Corporal George Johnson, and Officer McKendrick Johnson were dispatched to a residence on Summer Street for a report of an assault. After the initial investigation, It was determined Fred Azantrow, who originally gave officers the name “Mahama Hamden” hit the alleged victim and threatened them with a gun. While inside the residence Corporal George Johnson observed a clear plastic bag with white residue inside.

Captain Jason gray and Officer Hendry conducted a consent search of the apartment. The search of the apartment led to the findings of two fire arms, a total of $12,298 in cash, 223 white wax baggies approximately 4,638 mg, containing a white powder-like substance which field tested positive for the chemical makeup of Fentanyl, 89.6 grams of a rock like substance which field tested positive for the chemical makeup of Cocaine, and 140.18 grams of a separate white powder like substance suspected to be Cocaine.

Azantrow was brought to the Police Department where he was fingerprinted, photographed and lodged on $50,000. Azantrow will face arraignment in these matters July 24, 2023 at 1230 hours in Caledonia Superior Court.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 07/21/2023 at approximately 2021 hours, Ofc McKendrick Johnson and Ofc Davis Guyer were dispatched to a report of a Domestic Assault at 32 Jones St, in the Town of St Johnsbury. Following our initial investigation, it was learned Joshua Mason had fled on foot after assaulting an ex-girlfriend.

At approximately 2202 hours, Ofc Jasmine Hendry, Ofc Johnson and Ofc Davis Guyer were dispatched to Pleasant St for a report of an unknown man in a mudroom and refusing to leave. Upon arrival, we identified the male as Joshua Mason. Ofc Guyer arrested Mason for the reported Domestic Assault. Mason's criminal record shows prior Domestic Assault convictions in North Carolina, making this now a 2nd Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault.

The Honorable Judge, Rory Thibault, ordered Mason to be Held Without Bail at the Northeastern Correctional Complex and to appear in court on Monday.

On 07-06-23 at approximately 1538 hours Lt Mark Bickford of the SJPD responded to RK Miles on Bay Street after getting a report that a female had been in the store and stolen an item. Lt Bickford arrived and reviewed the in-store video of the incident. During this time Lt Bickford immediately recognized the female as Jessica Norrie. Lt Bickford is familiar with Norrie through past law enforcement encounters.

On 07-10-23 Lt Bickford located Norrie, DOB: 08-18-96 at the pavilion on Bay Street. Norrie admitted to taking the 18V ION Milwaukee battery from RK Miles and was subsequently issued a citation to appear in court on 09-18-23 @ 0830. Norrie will answer to the charge of Retail Theft.

Norrie was issued a Notice of Trespass for the business and property. The actual cost to replace the stolen battery was $180.19 cents with tax.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 07-14-23 at approximately 1000 hours Lt Mark Bickford of the SJPD was dispatched to 80 Saint Mary Street after Chadwick Roy had called reporting somebody had broken into an apartment at his building. Roy advised that the apartment of Garand had been entered through a window sometime during the night. Garand wasn't in town and I was unable to speak with him immediately about what if anything was missing. A search of the apartment was done without finding anyone inside.

During the investigation Lt Bickford received a couple of leads which were followed up on. With the aid of these leads he was able to determine that Gary Bolton and Kerri Ann Johnson had broken into the building and stayed in the apartment of Garand the previous evening. Further investigation found that damage had been caused within the apartment by the two, and items from a safe belonging to Garand were taken.

Lt Bickford arrested Bolton later during his shift after he was found at the bike pavilion on Bay Street. He was subsequently taken to and lodged at the NERCF on $5000 dollars bail where he will remain until either posting bail or released after his court appointed arraignment on 07-17-23 @ 1230 PM. Johnson was located by Bickford after she tried to sell some items belonging to Garand. She was processed and released on a citation to appear in court on 08-28-23 @1230 pm during which time she will answer to the charges listed above.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 07/13/2023, Ofc Davis Guyer, Ofc Jasmine Hendry, Lt Mark Bickford and Cpt Jason Gray were all dispatched to a report of a Robbery, at knife point, at Domino's. Dispatch also advised the individual was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with the word "BOLIO" on the back, sunglasses and a black mask had brandished a knife and attempted to take the money from the register, but was unsuccessful in doing so.

There was a Burglary at Subway on 07/12/2023. Sarah Cowdrey (32) was believed to be the Suspect. There was video surveillance footage from Subway, and it showed the suspect wearing a brown work-style jacket, with a hood, dark-colored pants, dark brown sandals, which Velcro over the middle, black socks with a grey toe, sunglasses and a black face mask.

Ofc Guyer made contact with Sarah Cowdrey (32) in a pull-off behind 438 Railroad St, which is within eye sight of Domino's. Cowdrey was heading in the opposite direction of Domino's and advised she had just come from the railroad tracks. Cowdrey denied any knowledge of the Assault and Robbery at Domino's. Cowdrey was wearing a yellow t-shirt, camo pants with cargo pockets that were rolled up below her knees, dark brown sandals, which Velcro over the middle and black socks with a grey toe. The height, weight, sunglasses, mask, sandals and socks were consistent with the Burglary at Subway as well. Cowdrey was detained until the investigation was concluded.

Cpt Gray and Ofc Hendry reviewed the video surveillance at Domino's. Cpt Gray advised the suspect was wearing camo pants and sent a photo from the video footage. The suspect was wearing a blue hoodie with yellow lettering, camo pants, rolled below the knee, dark brown sandals with black socks, sunglasses and a black face mask. The camo pants and sandals were the same as the ones Cowdrey was wearing.

Cpt Gray and Lt Bickford located the blue hoodie near the railroad tracks. They also found the face mask, sunglasses and a blue handled knife placed on a rail car.

Ofc Guyer placed Cowdrey under arrest for Assault and Robbery at Domino's as well as Burglary and Petit Larceny from Subway. Cowdrey was transported to the Women's Correctional Facility in Chittenden County by Probation and Parole, for violating her Probation. Cowdrey was flash cited into the Vermont Superior Court, Caledonia Unit for Monday 07/17/2023 at 1230 hours.

Degreenia was also in violation of his conditions of release, both a 24-hour curfew and not to operate any motor vehicle.

Since the vehicle was reported stolen more than 24 hours before it was recovered, Degreenia was charged with Aggravate Operation Without Owner's Consent (Felony). Being charged with this Felony, made Degreenia a Habitual Offender as he had more than 3 prior Felony Convictions in the State of Vermont.

Degreenia was Flash Cited in the Vermont Superior Court, Caledonia Unit for 07/10/2023 at 1230 hours, facing the charges of Aggravated Operation Without Owner's Consent, Violation of Conditions of Release x2, and Habitual Offender.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 7/1/2023 at approximately 0015 hours dispatch received a call from Whiskey Den that a male was refusing to leave and requested police. Ofc. Guyer and I responded to the Whiskey Den to find that the male had already left. He was identified as Trevor Gaouette. We were unable to locate him until a second call came in that he was at a residence on St Mary’s street. We responded to St Mary’s street to the call to find that he had thrown one of the resident’s belongings into the driveway. While we were there we heard movement on the train tracks and made contact with him. He had an odor of intoxicants coming from his person. Dispatch advised he had a condition of release not to buy, have, or drink alcoholic beverages. He was arrested for violating his conditions of release.
