SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  Officer's Report of Corporal George Johnson

On 02/06/2023, at approximately 2010 hours, St. Johnsbury Police Department received multiple calls of a male wearing khaki shorts and grey shirt smashing the windows out of the RCT bus stop  on Portland Street in St. Johnsbury Vermont.   I responded to the bus stop and witness pointed to Michael Farnsworth who was wearing a grey shirt and khakis shorts standing behind an adjacent building.  Farnsworth then fled on foot behind the building traveling towards elm street.  I pursued Farnsworth as he ran and intercepted him on Elm Street.  Farnsworth resisted arrest and had to be taken to the ground.  Farnsworth was placed in handcuffs and arrested.  Witnesses provided me with cell phone video of Farnsworth smashing out the glass with a brick.

I transported Farnsworth to the St. Johnsbury police department and  later he was transported to the correctional facility by St. Johnsbury Parole and Probation. And is cited for court on 3/18/2024 at 0830 hours.
