SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On 11/04/18, Officer Sophie Patenaude performed a motor vehicle stop on a white Nissan Sentry traveling north on Pleasant Street, operated by John Stacey, after the vehicle appeared to have a defective break light. Upon further observation, it became apparent that the break light was obstructed by a deer that was strapped to the trunk of the vehicle.  A subsequent investigation determined that Stacey’s privilege to operate a motor vehicle was criminally suspended. Stacey was cited, and is scheduled to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Caledonia Criminal Division on 01/07/19 at 0830 hours.
