SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 05/24/2023 at approximately 02:00 hours, St. Johnsbury Police responded to a report of a male in traffic on a bicycle. The male later identified as Bradley Leonard was transported by CALEX to NVRH as he was under the influence of alcohol. On arrival to NVRH, Leonard jumped from the ambulance and ran off. Leonard later called the police department and advised he walked back into town and retrieved his vehicle. Leonard was located at NVRH where he had driven his vehicle. He was subsequently taken into custody after a prolonged struggle with police and charged with DUI and resisting arrest.

The female was located, the counterfeit currency was seized and she was cited into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment date of August 14, 2023 at 0830 hours.

I believed Pepper to have an active warrant for his arrest, and after confirmation from dispatch, he was arrested, processed and transported to NECC for lack of $200 bail.

On May 12, 2023, at about 2018 hours, the St. Johnsbury Police Department received a complaint about an erratic vehicle traveling into town on US 2 at a high rate of speed. With the assistance of the Vermont State Police, the car was located on Eastern Avenue. The operator, Cameron Messier (21), displayed signs of impairment due to alcohol. Messier was arrested for suspicion of DUI and violation of conditions of release which prohibited him from possessing or consuming alcohol. Messier was later released to a sober adult with a citation into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment date of May 22, 2023 at 0830 hours.

When the officer arrived, he noticed a man make leg bail out the front door of the building and immediately run away south on River Road. After the original unrelated complaint was completed, the patrol officer searched and located the man, Erich Langmaid, further south on River Road, now in the company of a female he was prohibited from being within 300 feet of, having contact with or being at her residence (which was inside 161 River Road). Langmaid was arrested and flash cited into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment date of May 8, 2023 at 1230 hours.
