SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
An officer on patrol came upon an active physical street fight. William Garrett was arrested for aggravated assault. Christopher L. Sargent was transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital by CALEX ambulance for medical treatment. A bystander, Courtney Ann Bartlett, was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Rutland County and taken into custody by Cpl. Hartwell. Garrett was arrested and brought to the police department where he was given a citation for aggravated assault and lodged at Northeastern Regional Correctional Facility per St. Johnsbury Probation & Parole. Garrett will face the charge on December 7, 2020 @ 10:00 in Caledonia Superior Court. Bartlett was released on a citation for her case for September 14, 2020 @ 12:30pm in Rutland Superior Court.
