SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: At 0848 hours, the St Johnsbury Police Department responded to a residence at 48 Eastern Avenue after multiple reports of a dispute. The investigation revealed that Shari Hitman, 34 of St Johnsbury, had struck a family member causing them pain. Hitman was taken into custody without incident and cited to appear at 1230 hours on September 8th to answer the charge of Domestic Assault.
