On October 26, 2022 at about 1858 hours, the St. Johnsbury Police Department received complaints about a man walking around Pleasant Street near Jones Street smashing the new curbs with a sledge hammer. Responding patrol officers located and arrested John Schaaf. A sledgehammer was seized. Schaaf was flash cited into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment date of November 7, 2022 at 0830 hours.
