Summary of Incident
On 02-12-18 at approximately 0426 am the
St Johnsbury Dispatch Center received an alarm activation at 12 North Avenue
the home of The American Legion Post 58. An officer responded to the alarm and
found the exterior door to the building ajar. Initial investigation revealed no
entry had been made to the building as the interior door to the Legion was
found to be secure. When an employee arrived later in the day she found that
entry had been made into the building through a side window. Sgt Bickford
arrived and discovered that a glass jar containing quarters that had been
placed on the table along the bar area had been taken along with two sets of
custom competition throwing darts. Anyone who may have been in the area of 12
North Avenue during the initial alarm activation or has since heard or learned
something about this burglary is encouraged to contact the St Johnsbury Police
