SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
A St. Johnsbury Police Officer
observed a Dodge Journey being driven without license plates on Hastings Hill.
The vehicle did not stop despite the activation of emergency equipment (blue
lights and sirens). The vehicle continued through the Four Seasons neighborhood
being pursued by St. Johnsbury Police units until it parked in the driveway of
[EXPUNGED]. The driver of the vehicle, Steven Simonds (42) also had
conditions of release prohibiting him from driving with a suspended license and
was arrested for the above charges. Simonds will face the charges in Caledonia
Superior Court on September 21, 2020 at 0830.
*Update*
On 06/20/2020 [EXPUNGED] was
cited for Violation of Conditions of Release (2 Counts) from this incident.
[EXPUNGED] was found to be out after his court order curfew and in possession of a
controlled substance without a valid prescription. He will also appear in
Caledonia Court on 09/21/2020, to answer to the charges.
