SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On the early morning of August 8th, officers of the St Johnsbury Police responded to 545 Lafayette Street for a report of an injured female. Officers arrived and found Brittany Danforth, 29 of St Johnsbury had been assaulted. The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Ashley Lee, 29 of west Burke for assaulting Danforth. Lee was located on September 9, 2021 and lodged for the crime of Aggravated Assault, Gross Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a deadly weapon while committing a felony. Lee was lodged on 5000 dollars cash or surety and will appear on September 9, 2021 to answer the charges.
