SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On November 5, 2022 at about 2255 hours, a St. Johnsbury Police Department patrol officer observed a motor vehicle violation on Railroad Street. The vehicle was stopped near Railroad and Eastern. The operator, Scott Hansen, was found to be displaying signs of impairment by alcohol. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI #1. At the police department, Hansen refused to provide an evidentiary breath sample. Hansen was released to a sober adult and flash cited into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment date of November 21, 2022 at 0830 hours.
Further investigation revealed a passenger in the vehicle was out and about in violation of a court ordered curfew, had consumed or possessed alcohol in contravention of court ordered conditions of release and was traveling in the company of a female he was required to not be within 300 feet of or have contact with. [EXPUNGED] was cited for violation of conditions of release into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment date of January 23, 2023 at 0830 hours.
