SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
The St. Johnsbury Police Department received a report of a
disturbance at 475 Pearl Street. Further investigation revealed Ashley Beckwith
returned to the property after being released on a citation for violating conditions
of release at that location earlier. Responding officers were advised that
Beckwith had assaulted a family or household member and stole their methadone,
despite having active conditions of release preventing her from returning to
the property, contacting or abusing/harassing that party. Beckwith was later
located in the basement of the residence and arrested. Beckwith was released on
a 24 hour curfew and other conditions by the Honorable Court and will face the
above charges in Caledonia Superior Court on June 1, 2020 at 1230.
