SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On February 13, 2022 at about 0100 hours, a St. Johnsbury Police Department patrol officer observed a motor vehicle violation on Railroad Street. The vehicle was stopped on Portland Street. Further investigation revealed the operator displayed signs of impairment due to alcohol and was subsequently arrested for DUI #1. Merrill was released from the St. Johnsbury Police Department to a sober person on a citation into Caledonia Superior Court to answer the charges of DUI #1 on February 28, 2022 at 0830 hours.
