A passenger in the vehicle, Janita Ledoux, was found to be out and about of a 24 hour curfew. Another passenger in the vehicle, Megan Young, was found to be riding in the car along with a person she was prohibited from having contact with. Both Ledoux and Young were arrested and brought to the police station. Both parties were flash cited into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment date of January 23, 2023 at 1230 hours. Ofc. Gerrish will handle the Ledoux case and Ofc. Guyer is handling the Young matter.

Garcia has conditions of release to not drink alcoholic beverages to the extent they interfere with the welfare of his family, himself, or any other person. After providing a preliminary breath test, Garcia tested at 0.159% BAC. Based upon the suspicious nature of the call, we had reason to believe Garcia was intoxicated enough to violate his conditions. He was cited to appear in Caledonia Court to answer to the charge of Violations of Conditions of Release.

On 01-15-23 Corporal George Johnson and Lt Mark Bickford of the SJPD responded to the area of 160 Clarks Avenue in the village of St Johnsbury after a concerned citizen had called dispatch about a male who appeared to be passed out in a vehicle.Upon arrival, contact was made with the male who was seated inside a silver Dodge Caravan that was running. The male was identified as Wade Whitehouse, DOB: 01-10-83. Whitehouse was found to be in violation of numerous conditions of release and was subsequently taken into custody without incident.

Whitehouse was taken back to the St Johnsbury Police Department where he was processed then later lodged at the NERCF. Bail of $200 dollars was set by Judge. Whitehouse will be arraigned in Caledonia Court on 01-17-23 at 1230 hours during which time he will answer to the charges of VCOR (3 counts) Criminal DLS, Person prohibited from possessing a firearm, and Possession of drugs.

At approximately 2019 hours on 01/11/2023, Horizons Deli on Railroad Street in St. Johnsbury was robbed. The suspect was described as a white male approximately 18-19 years of age, approximately 6’2” tall wearing a black ski-mask and hoodie. The suspect was last seen on foot behind the deli heading towards the railroad tracks at around 8:15 PM. The male was reported to have stolen an entire box of Elf Bar Vapes totaling at $250.00. Anyone who may have seen this male or has information about the crime is asked to call the St. Johnsbury Police Department at 802-748-2314.

A subsequent records check shows Cole was issued conditions of release and one of those conditions was to have no contact with Boyce, whether in person, by phone, email or third party. I spoke with Cole and he admitted to me that he did contact Boyce.

On 01/09/2023, I arrested Cole on the previously mentioned charges.

Sweeney was a POI in a recent theft of merchandise from the store and management had requested that Sweeney be issued a trespass order for the store and property. Lt Bickford located Sweeney inside the store and subsequently took her into custody without incident on an active warrant for a FTA on a pending Petit Larceny case. Sweeney, DOB: 02-27-2002 was taken to the PD where she was processed on the arrest warrant then escorted across the street to the courthouse for arraignment. Upon completion of her arraignment, Sweeney was transported to the NERCF where she was lodged on $50 dollars bail.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On December 31, 2022 at about 2354 hours, the St. Johnsbury Police Department received phone complaints of either a 5 to 8 person or a 12 to 15 person bar brawl at the Elks Club resulting in an injured female. Responding units located Jody Cutter who was arrested and later released on citation with an arraignment date of March 27, 2023 at 0830 hours. Phylicia Fleurie was transported by CALEX to Northern Vermont Regional Hospital. The matter remains under investigation.
