SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January 29, 2023 at 0101 hours. Det. Sgt. Lester Cleary was on patrol on Portland Street when he observed a vehicle crossing the Portland Street bridge fully in the lane of oncoming traffic. A motor vehicle stop was made and the subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Thomas A. Hurd, 37 of St. Johnsbury for Driving Under the Influence 1st offense. Hurd was released on citation and will appear on February 13, 2023 to answer the charge.
