SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On March 11, 2022 at about 1922 hours, a St. Johnsbury Police Department patrol officer used radar to measure the speed of a vehicle traveling 65 miles an hour in a 30 mile an hour zone on Old Center Road. The vehicle was stopped on Fenton Road. Further investigation revealed the operator displayed signs of impairment due to alcohol. The operator was arrested for DUI #1 and Excessive Speed. The operator was released to a sober adult on a citation into Caledonia Superior Court with a court date of March 28, 2022 at 0830 hours. The operator was also issued 2 Vermont Civil Violation Complaints bearing $750 in waiver fines and 10 points.
