SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On April 6, 2023 at about 2159 hours, a St. Johnsbury Police Department patrol officer observed a motor vehicle violation on Old Center Road. The vehicle was stopped at the intersection of Old Center Road and Fenton Road. Further investigation revealed that the operator, Benjamin Burritt (37), displayed signs of impairment by alcohol. Burritt was arrested and later lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility for detoxification. Burritt was cited into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment date of April 24, 2023 at 0830 hours. Burritt’s truck was hauled away by McKay’s Towing of Lunenburg, VT.
