On the above date and time, a St. Johnsbury Police Department patrol officer observed a motor vehicle violation on Spaulding Road. Further investigation revealed the operator, Wayne G, Payton of Danville, VT, was operating a motor vehicle after consumption of alcohol and marijuana. Payton was arrested for suspicion of DUI. was arrested. Payton was brought to the police department and later released on a citation for June 28, 2021 at 0830. Payton will respond to the charge in Caledonia Superior Court.
