SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On May 16, 2022 at about 2107 hours, the St. Johnsbury Police Department received a complaint about a male unconscious inside a running Prius off Pearl Street. Responding patrol officers found Aryeh Whitchurch unconscious behind the wheel of the running vehicle. After being awoken by responding officers, Whitchurch was found to be displaying signs of impairment by a substance other than alcohol. Whitchurch was arrested for suspicion of DUI-Drugs. A drug recognition expert exam was obtained with the assistance of the Vermont State Police and an evidentiary blood draw performed at NVRH. Whitchurch was later released to the custody of a sober adult with a citation into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment date of August 1, 2022 at 0830 hours. He was also issued Vermont Civil Violation Complaints totaling $688 and 6 points.
