A vehicle occupant was found to be in possession of a loaded 45 caliber Rock Island 1911 firearm which had been reported to be stolen from a home in New Hampshire. The firearm was seized. Perry was arrested, processed and cited into Caledonia County Superior Court to answer the charge of Possession of Stolen Property. Perry’s appearance is set for February 24, 2020. The investigation is ongoing.

On 09/08/2019 at approximately 0217 hours, St. Johnsbury Police responded to a one vehicle traffic crash on US Route 2 near Maple Grove in the Village of St. Johnsbury. Upon arrival the vehicle was located off the west bound side of the road in the trees. The operator of the vehicle Todd Dovhuluk advised that he fell asleep while operating the vehicle east bound on Route 2. Subsequently Dovhuluk was taken into custody after climbed up a sign and broke of the support pole in an effort to remove his vehicle without a tow truck. Dovhuluk was cited to appear in Caledonia Court to answer to the charges of disorderly conduct and Unlawful Mischief. Dovhuluk was also issued Vermont Civil Violation Complaints for Driving on Roadways laned for Traffic and Imprudent speed for existing road conditions or hazards. The crash remains under investigation.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On August 12, 2019, the St Johnsbury Police Department responded to Railroad Street at the Union bank for a report of a suspicious customer.  The customer was identified as Vincent Tucceri, 53 of Derby VT.  A record check revealed that Tucceri had an active arrest warrant from New York for Home improvement fraud.  Tucceri was taken into custody without incident and was lodged as a fugitive from justice.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On August 14, 2019, the St Johnsbury Police Department responded to Railroad Street after a female reported two suspicious males approach her vehicle and one of them attempting to open her passenger door.   The subsequent investigation led to the identification of Travis Landry, 30 of Swanton Vermont.  Landry was found to have an active arrest warrant and while being taken into custody, Landry attempted to flee and was Tased during the arrest.  Landry was brought to court and lodged with bail.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On August 13, 2019, the St Johnsbury Police Department in conjunction with the Caledonia County Sheriff’s office and the Vermont State Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Portland Street.  A pair of recent burglaries and their investigations, led to the search warrant at the residence.  Stolen property was recovered, the charges are pending and the investigations are continuing.

At 21:48 hours, St. Johnsbury Police responded to the area of 170 Pearl Street for a report of a shooting. At this time, the scene has been secured and Pearl Street has been closed between Railroad St and Federal Street. This is an active investigation. The scene has been turned over to the Vermont State Police and any inquiries into this incident should be directed to them.

On 07/27/2019 at approximately 2200 hours, St, Johnsbury Police responded to 287 Portland Street, the House of Pizza for a report of a single vehicle crash into a tree in the parking lot of the business. After investigation Ryan D. Simpson was taken into custody for the leaving the scene of an accident and suspicion of driving under the influence.
