SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On May 23, 2018 at approximately 18:08 hours, officers of the St. Johnsbury Police Department were dispatched to the ball fields located on Almshouse Rd in St. Johnsbury for a report of a dog bite. A dog owned by Molly MacDonald, age 23, of St. Johnsbury, had bit a 4-year-old child above the eye. CALEX Ambulance and St. Johnsbury Fire Department responded and provided medical assistance to the child who was not transported to the hospital. It was determined that the dog was up-to-date with it's vaccinations and no enforcement action was taken.

A subsequent investigation determined that Corey Jones had taken a female’s cell phone from her and destroyed it, and that a dispute followed. Jones was cited by St. Johnsbury Police and lodged by St. Johnsbury Probation and Parole on a furlough violation. He is scheduled to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Caledonia Criminal Division on 07/09/18 at 0830 hours.

Officers took Nathan Spencer, age 28, of St. Johnsbury into custody for Unlawful Trespass of a Dwelling. Spencer was provided a citation for May 29, 2018 at 12:30pm at the Vermont Superior Court, Caledonia Unit, Criminal Division. The Department of Corrections took custody of Spencer and lodged him for a furlough violation.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  At 2315 hours, officers of the St Johnsbury Police Department responded to a report of a heavily damaged vehicle in the parking lot of Maplefields.  A caller advised the driver had smelled of the odor of intoxicants and was now sleeping in the back of her vehicle.  The investigation identified the driver as Sandra Robitelle, 58 of Epping NH, who advised she had swerved to miss a deer and gone off the road but was unsure where.  Assistance from the Vermont State Police determined that Robitelle had struck highway signs on Route 2 prior to driving her vehicle to Maplefields.  Robitelle was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and released on a citation for Driving under the influence and Leaving the Scene of an accident.
