SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  At 2310 hours, Officers of the St Johnsbury Police Department responded to the Jiffy Mart at 169 Railroad Street in St Johnsbury.  The clerk had called reporting a pair of men kicking and banging on the doors of the locked store.  On arrival officers  found Adam Gilman, 33 of Newark in the parking lot.  The subsequent investigation led to Gilman being taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct.  Gilman was cited and released.  Gilman will appear in Caledonia Court on October 21, 2019 to answer the charge.  The second male in the incident fled prior to arrival of Police. SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 09/08/2019 at approximately 0217 hours, St. Johnsbury Police responded to a one vehicle traffic crash on US Route 2 near Maple Grove in the Village of St. Johnsbury. Upon arrival the vehicle was located off the west bound side of the road in the trees. The operator of the vehicle Todd Dovhuluk advised that he fell asleep while operating the vehicle east bound on Route 2. Subsequently Dovhuluk was taken into custody after climbed up a sign and broke of the support pole in an effort to remove his vehicle without a tow truck. Dovhuluk was cited to appear in Caledonia Court to answer to the charges of disorderly conduct and Unlawful Mischief. Dovhuluk was also issued Vermont Civil Violation Complaints for Driving on Roadways laned for Traffic and Imprudent speed for existing road conditions or hazards. The crash remains under investigation.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On August 29, 2019, the St Johnsbury Police Department was called to a reported Leaving the scene of an accident call.  Patrons of the Kingdom Taproom had their vehicle struck in the municipal parking lot.  Witnesses described the vehicle as a dark blue Toyota and was reported to be operated by a female with short hair.  Video obtained shows the suspect to be wearing a safety green colored shirt, shorts and operating a darker colored sedan with a sun roof. SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On August 23, 2019 the St Johnsbury Police Department was contacted about a retail theft at the Maplefields in St Johnsbury on the previous evening.  A review of the video lead to the arrest of Brian Carr, 40 of Hardwick after he was seen taking merchandise from the store without paying for it.  Carr is cited to appear on October 21, 2019 to answer the charge.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On August 27, 2019 the St Johnsbury Police were called to the Family dollar store for a report of retail theft.  Store employees informed the officers that a male had tried to return items without a receipt and when denied, he left with the items.  A review of the in store video system showed the male, later identified as Charles Nestor, 49 of St Johnsbury, removing the items from the shelf in the store prior to trying to return them for cash.  Nestor was cited to appear on October 21, 2019 to answer the charge.
