SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 01/29/2020 at approximately 2200 hours, St. Johnsbury Police responded to a report of a physical altercation on Gilman Avenue in the Town of St. Johnsbury. After investigation [SEALED] was taken into custody and charged with 1st degree aggravated domestic assault after he was found to have assaulted a household or family member, as well as Habitual Criminal as he has 3 prior felony convictions in the state of Vermont. [SEALED] was lodged on $1500 bail at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility per the honorable court.

The St. Johnsbury Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance regarding a leaving the scene of an accident investigation that is currently ongoing. The police department received a report that at some time between 0700 and 1700 on January 21st, 2020, an unknown vehicle struck a parked Mitsubishi Lancer belonging to Kyle Goodell of Waterford, VT. Goodell’s vehicle was legally parked outside of 331 Summer Street and the car sustained property damage from the collision. Ms. Langmaid was cited into Caledonia Superior Court, Criminal Division to answer the charge on July 13, 2020.

Summary of Incident:
While monitoring traffic on Railroad Street, Ofc. Robert Gerrish of the St. Johnsbury Police Department observed a motor vehicle equipment violation. Subsequent investigation during the traffic stop revealed the operator of that motor vehicle, Antino J. Pepper, was operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. As Antino J. Pepper, had a prior civil conviction for driving without a license he was arrested, processed and cited into court for License Required. Pepper  will answer the charge in Caledonia Superior Court, Criminal Division on February 24, 2020.

Summary of Incident:
The St. Johnsbury Police Department received a complaint of a disturbance occurring outside 139 Central Street. Upon arrival, Sgt. Rivard and Officer Robert Gerrish found Steven Simonds (41). Further investigation revealed Simonds was the subject of 2  warrants from the State of Vermont and an extraditable warrant for Possession of Cocaine out of Grafton County, New Hampshire. Simonds was arrested and bail was set on Simonds for the Fugitive from Justice charge by the Honorable Judge Robert Bent at $30,000. Simonds was lodged at the Northeastern Regional Correctional Facility.

The caller advised that a man had broken into the apartment and was sleeping in the bedroom. Upon arrival officers arrested Charles Nestor (49). Nestor was arrested and lodged by the Honorable Court at Northeast Regional Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail.

At approximately 1950 hours on 01/05/2020, the Champlain Farms store on Railroad Street in St. Johnsbury was robbed. The suspect was described as a white male approximately 25 to 30 years of age, approximately 5’8” tall and approximately 130 to 150 pounds. The suspect was last seen running East on Portland Street at around 8 pm. Anyone who may have seen this male or has information about the crime is asked to call the St. Johnsbury Police Department at 802-748-2314.
