SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
Further investigation revealed that one of the passengers involved in this situation gave a false name and date of birth in order to deflect the investigation. The passenger, transient Dominic Bassett (23) of Lyndonville, VT impersonated the identity of Derek Lacourse (24) of Lyndonville, VT. On September 30, 2020, Bassett was later located and arrested for these crimes, brought to the police department and cited into Caledonia Superior Court to answer the charges of Identity Theft & False Reports to Law Enforcement. Bassett’s court date will be December 21, 2020 @ 10am.
