SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Police responded to the Republican Block Apartments on Eastern Avenue for the report of a female being disorderly and ripping items from the wall.  Upon arrival, witnesses described a chaotic incident in which Shari Hitman, upset about her ex-boyfriend being with a new girlfriend, ripped posters and pictures from a common area wall and threw food out of a refrigerator around an apartment.  Hitman allegedly “hip-checked” the new girlfriend during the episode, but no injuries were reported.  Subsequent investigation revealed Hitman had repeatedly called and texted a phone, even after the owner of the phone asked Hitman to stop and even blocked Hitman’s phone number.
Hitman was cited for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace by electronic means.
